DUMPSTER DO’S AND DON’TS

This type of dumpster is commonly used for spring or fall cleaning or moving. Below is a list of the do’s and don’ts associated with this type of dumpster. If you have any questions please give us a call.
- Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) examples: regular household trash, dishes, clothes, furniture (dressers/office chairs/wood chairs) small appliances (toasters/hand mixers/blenders) garage junk, toys, games, lawn decorations, food, etc…
- The price of the dumpster is at level full, additional charges if over full may apply.
- Dumpsters subject to a 2 week maximum use, may cost additional to keep longer
- Customer must call for dumpster pick up, please allow 24 hours for removal
- Cost for extra charge items are listed below-these items must be on top or beside of the dumpster.
- Any items beside the dumpster will not be picked up unless we are notified to do so.
- We set dumpsters where directed and are not responsible for any damages incurred
- ABSOLUTELY NO CONCRETE, ASBESTOS, SHEETROCK, SHINGLES, BRICKS OR STUMPS

We offer weekly service in Milaca, Bock, Pease, Foreston, Wahkon, Isle, Onamia, and Princeton. Bi-weekly in our rural areas.
CART SIZES:
Large 95 Gallon Trash Container
This cart holds 5-7 bags of trash and is the recommended cart for families with 4 or more members. Multiple carts are also an option.
Medium 65 Gallon Trash Container
This cart hold 3-5 bags of trash and is the recommended cart for families with 3-4 members. Multiple carts are also an option.
Small 35 Gallon Trash Container
This cart holds 1-2 bags of trash and is the recommended cart for families with 1-2 members.
Important Reminders
Jim’s Mille Lacs Disposal has fully-automated side load garbage trucks. Please leave 3 feet space between each of your waste carts and any other obstacles. Please remember that carts should NOT be in the street when set out for collection.
Our routes are constantly changing to accommodate new customers and to make our routes most efficient. Please have your waste containers curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
Furniture/Bulky/Spring items for Disposal
If at any time a residential or business customer has any furniture or bulky (mattress, box spring, stuffed chair) items to dispose please call the office at 320-983-6474 to schedule a special pick up. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to ensure pick up. There will be an extra charge for this collection based on the item that we need to pick up.
Tires/Batteries/Electronics/Appliance for Disposal/recycling
Jim’s Mille Lacs Disposal can pick up tires/batteries/electronics/appliances from your residence or business for an extra charge (but not on the route). These items must be recycled and not put in your trash. Call the office at 320-983-6474 to schedule a special pick up. There will be an extra charge for this collection based on the item that we need to pick up.
Additional Items That CANNOT be accepted in Curbside Collection
There are several items that cannot accept in curbside collection. These items include but are not limited to:
Dirt, Rocks and Stumps
Any liquids or chemicals, asbestos, oil, paints and stains, oil and paint filters, rail road ties/timbers
Jim’s Mille Lacs Disposal cannot handle any liquid or hazardous waste. Please call your county office for information and locations to dispose of your liquid and hazardous waste.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULES:
Jim’s Mille Lacs Disposal does not run its routes on New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. These routes will be run on the following work day, all other routes remain the same. If the holiday is on a Friday we will run the routes on Saturday.
